Truth be told I am much happier, more relaxed, and energized now than I was before and during the holidays! Gift wrap and Christmas cards no longer flood the kitchen table and spill onto the chairs. …. I can go to bed without feeling obligated to write one more holiday card or wrap one more gift… Christmas cookie bloat has finally been processed out… The calendar has so many lovely empty spaces on it in January! Post-holiday blues? I feel serene and peaceful lounging in my family room, surrounded by shiny tinsel garlands, sparkling strings of lights, poinsettias, velvet stockings…. And the sweet sounds of silence….
