Hey folks in the spirit of April Autism Awareness, we wanted to share this masterpiece poem from Abby. Abby is nine years old and has Asperger’s syndrome. She also has a younger brother with Asperger’s. Abby loves to draw and excels in math.

I don’t like sounds that are loud.
I don’t like people who crowd.
I don’t like mud because it’s icky.
I don’t like things that are sticky.
I don’t like bugs because they bite.
I don’t like boys because they fight.
I don’t like peas that are round and green and
I don’t like people who are mean.
