We’re often amazed at the steps special parents will take to ensure their children get the education and services they need. As the video below shows, one mother went so far as to falsifying her address so her children could get in a better school district. We can’t help but feel sympathy for this mother who was just trying to help her children. In fact, we’d share a cell with her any day of the week (provided she could put up with all our imperfections).

We actually considered doing this because of all the crap we were going through with Maggie’s school. My MIL lives alone in Mokena which has an EXCELLENT Spec Ed program that we know Maggie would have benefited from. Of course, we knew it was a felony and that some school districts were going to great lengths to catch people in the act! Feel so badly for this Mom. We wouldn’t have to go to these extents if the school districts would just do their jobs and the states would give them their funding!
