We’ve heard of awards for “World’s Best Granny” but never “World’s Youngest Granny,” which is certainly a title that many folks pray they never have to receive. But a Romanian woman has been dubbed the world’s youngest grandmother at the age of…get this..23. We can’t even fathom how this would work.

Good grief!! sadly, it sound like marriage and children are not uncommon in their culture
how can these kids be having kids? at the age of 10 ,11,12, i didnt even know how to take care of my own needs let alone a baby. my oldest was born when i was 20 and i stilll wasn’t ready to be a mom.
My gosh,, I just can’t imagine even being able to think of marriage at 10,,,, so many cultures in the world do though,,, it is just really shocking and a little scary,,, but I bet the children are fun parents since they are so young and ready to play themselves,, it never ceases to amaze me when I hear stories of children , marriage and birth from other parts of the world,,, a little disturbing but I think it is their way or surely there would be a law of somekind in place
My son is adopted from Romania – I suspect this family is among the Roma or gypsies – or live in the country where there is little access to education.
One has to remember the influence of Czescu the dictator who created a populous of unwanted and abandoned children.
the cities have opportunities but many of the rural areas do not. You would be shocked what is tolerated – ie smoking in hospitals – no pediatrc supplies – imagine a blood test via adult needle for a 20 mo old.
